Our client is an international trading company active in the energy sector, with a strong presence in Europe across trading, shipping, and assets. They are seeking a legal professional to join their Hamburg office.
Role Overview:
The Legal Counsel will handle legal and contractual matters across commercial trading, corporate governance, shipping, and asset-related activities, working closely with traders, operations, and senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft, review, and negotiate trading and shipping contracts (SPA, charterparties, and offtake).
Advise on corporate matters, assets, M&A, and compliance issues.
Support claims, disputes, and regulatory matters.
Liaise with external counsel, P&I Clubs, and insurers.
Profile:
Qualified lawyer (Germany, England & Wales, or EU).
Experience in commodities, energy, or shipping.
Strong knowledge of international commercial and shipping law.
Fluent in English (German a plus).
