YOUR ROLE
We are seeking a Senior Tax Manager to join Razor's Tax Department and take ownership of direct tax compliance in Germany (Körperschaftsteuer and Gewerbesteuer).
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing corporate income tax returns (Körperschaftsteuererklärung), trade tax returns (Gewerbesteuererklärung), and other tax filings (e.g., E-Bilanz) for our German entities.
- Reviewing tax assessment notices (Bescheide) issued by tax authorities.
- Providing tax advisory to our German businesses (also with respected to Umsatzsteuer, Kapitalertragsteuer or tax proceedings), including support in business projects, tax and accounting queries, and domestic restructurings.
- Assisting the accounting team with tax provisions, deferred taxes, tax disclosures, tax account reconciliations, and other financial reporting processes.
- Reviewing contracts from a tax perspective, including WHT and CIT clauses, and supporting the preparation of intercompany agreements.
- Liaising with tax authorities during audits, ensuring timely submission of required documentation and explanations.
YOUR PROFILE
To succeed in this role you:
- Hold a university degree in taxation, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.
- Have a minimum of 6 years of experience in German direct tax compliance, including corporate income tax, trade tax, and profit and loss transfer agreements.
- Possess a general understanding of accounting standards (IFRS, HGB).
- Demonstrate a proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/financial systems such as NetSuite or similar analytical tools.
- Hold strong communication skills and the ability to present complex tax topics to management.
- Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Are fluent in German and English (both written and spoken).
