About our client
Our client is an international private markets firm with substantial AUM and a successful track record going back over 20 years, across multiple fund strategies. The firm has an established presence in Germany and is looking to extend its PE focus with a new hire to build a pipeline and portfolio of high potential midcap private equity investments. What the job involves
- As deal captain, you will drive the sourcing of relevant investment opportunities across multiple channels (adviser, family owners, financial investors) and position the firm`s highly differentiated investment strategy as a partner of choice
- Lead analysis and diligence of selected opportunities, crafting compelling cases to present to the Investment Committee
- Responsible for the ongoing value creation programmes, drawing on firm-wide expertise to transform portfolio assets over the investment period, through to successful exits
- Build and develop a team of junior professionals, working in close collaboration with leadership across the entire organisation
- Contribute to the strategy and wider expansion of the group across product lines and geographies
Who we are looking for
- Meaningful private equity investment experience with a successful fund, preferably in the DACH mid-market
- Extensive industry network and proven record in deal origination
- Excellent financial skills and commercial judgement
- High energy, intellectually curious, tenacious, extroverted, high emotional intelligence, entrepreneurial, ambitious
- An international mindset, relishing working in a cross-border set-up. Native-level German, fluent English required; additional European languages are an advantage
- Clearly seen as near-term partner potential for their judgment, leadership and track record
